This is how the AHBA explained the postponement of the finals of the women’s and men’s Metropolitan Tournament:

“Given the imminence of the date and the need to resolve the situation considering the organizational complexity of the event, along with the massive attendance of the public typical of these instances, it is appropriate to adopt all the security precautions linked to the integrity of those who participate in it. Taking into account that the event takes place on the grounds of the Olympic Park of the City of Buenos Aires, we have worked together with the authorities of the Sports Secretariat to evaluate the situation. Due to this, and Considering that according to the updated forecast, the safety conditions for athletes, workers and the general public are not guaranteed, the suspension of sporting activities has been ordered – at the direction of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. outdoors in the Olympic Park this weekend. Activities are rescheduledboth for the Primera A finals and for the other competitions scheduled in the Olympic Park, for next Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, respecting the schedules established in the current schedule for this week“.
