Bortoleto affirms that he will continue at Audi “next year and the following years”

Gabriel Bortoleto will continue in Audi. That, at least, is what the driver himself states, who says that he will continue with the team german even beyond 2027.

In an interview with Motorsportthe Brazilian declares the following: “I have a long-term contract with Audi. “I will be with Audi next year, and not only next year, but also the following years.”

Regarding his contract, Bortoleto also points out that there are no clauses. “As far as I can speak, of course, because it is something confidential, but let’s say that there are no clauses“.

The pilot, who is also a member of A14 (Fernando’s academy Alonso), insists that his commitment to the Germans is not short-term. “The intention, as I have always said from the beginning, is that of a long-term project. Mattia (Binottohead of Audi) always talks about until 2030. So let’s look at it that way.”

The team structure signed Bortoleto to debut in 2025, just after the São Paulo player won the championship of the FIA Formula 2. In the team, which at that time was still called Sauberthe number 5 had a year in Formula 1 before the new regulations for 2026.

A year and a half after his debut, Gabriel is still satisfied. “It’s a project that I’ve believed in since I joined and they believe in my potential. I’m very excited. This year has been the first step in building a new car and a new engine. Next year will be one more step to put things into practice“.

Although, according to the Brazilian, “his position is assured”, he prefers not to talk about the continuity of his teammate, the veteran Nico Hülkenberg. “I’m not going to comment on other people’s contracts, but I really like working with Nico. “I want to make it very clear.”

Bortoleto also concluded by praising the German again: “He is a fast guy, with experience and who brings many positive things to the team. I trust in my potential and in the work we are doing“.
