Bogdanovic, tempted by several Euroleague teams, signs with the Houston Rockets
Despite the fact that the different operations of the transfer market or the signing of free agents in the NBA cannot be made official until next July 6, Shams Charania, ESPN’s NBA expert, reported yesterday that Bogdan Bogdanovic (33 years old and 1.96 meters) has reached an agreement with the Houston Rocketssigning for a season for the veteran minimum wage of the league.
The Texas franchise recruited the veteran outside shooting specialist, who had previously been linked to the Denver Nuggets of his compatriot Nikola Jokic.
Rumors also circulated internationally indicating that the talented forward considered returning to the Euroleague, with Fernerbahçe and Partizan as main candidates to acquire his services, if a satisfactory offer from the NBA was not made.
Ultimately, Houston took the opportunity to add Bogdanovic after the Los Angeles Clippers declined the team option on his services, making him an unrestricted free agent.
During last season, plagued by injuries, the Serbian guard averaged a modest 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
