Báez and Comesaña are the Argentine dreams in the new Brussels ATP
With a classic tradition of hosting some of the best players in the world, Belgium has been the home of the European Open since 2016. After nine years in Antwerp, the tournament moves to Brussels from October 13 to 19 but the draw has already started.
Two Argentines are present in the main draw and curiosity indicates that both will play against long-time professionals on the circuit.
Sebastián Báez starts as sixth seed against Roberto Bautista Agut who, in addition, is the defending champion; Francisco Comesaña will do it against the local David Goffin.
The prizes are valued at 700 thousand euros and the top favorite is Lorenzo Musetti and was favored with Bye boot. Their first match will be against the winner of Matteo Arnaldi and a qualifier.
The second is called Felix Auger-Aliassime (recently eliminated in Shanghai at the hands of one of the finalists, Arthur Rinderknech). His initial challenge will be with Damir Dzumhur or Federico Ciná (guest).
