Back to Spain 2025: Egan and Buitrago are still in the Top 10 after the fourth stage
Colombians Egan Bernal and Santiago Buitrago maintain their positions among the 10 best in the general classification after stage four. David Gaudu is the new leader of the Tour of Spain.
The caravan left Italy and entered France with a half mountain tour of two second ports and arrival for sprinters in Viron.
The longest stage of this edition had 206 kilometers of calm with escape attempts controlled by the squad in which Colombian cyclists remained. At times there was a high speed with 50 km per hour towards the plane of the finish line.
The massive arrival had tension and nerves. Some friction in the last curves with ours safe. The best was Santiago Buitrago in 46th position with the same time as winner Ben Turner of 4:50:14. Esteban Chaves and Egan Bernal arrived Casillas further back at 65 and 66.
In the general, Bernal is fourth to 14 seconds of the new leader, the Frenchman David Gaudu. Buitrago is seventh to 16.
The fifth stage will be team chrono with 24.1 flat kilometers by Figueres.
