Rafael Devers will be the main designated batter of the Boston Red Sox this season, leaving the third base for the newcomer Alex Bregman.

Cora’s announcement occurred almost two weeks after Devers retracted his position from the beginning of this spring, when he declared that the third base was “my position” after Bregman’s signature by the Red Sox.
