Aaron Judge does not strange Juan Soto in the Yankees Lineup
Aaron Judge looks more nourished numbers than in 2024 in the first 24 games of the year; Without Juan Soto at the Lineup Batea Better
When the New York Mets convinced Juan Soto to sign a millionaire and historical contract in December 2024, one of the questions that most worried and occupied the fans of the New York Yankees was what would be from Aaron Judge without the Dominican in the Bronx lineup.
What partner would be at the height of Soto to secondary to ‘Judge’Who would have that talent to the BAT to form the explosive duo that supported Yankees’s offensive for 2024? The concern was such that the ingenious fans arrived at Yankee Stadium with ‘blank checks’ of cardboard to show their love for Soto, as well as pleas, also on cardboard, on returning to dress the striped uniform in 2025.
What happened since then?
Well, at least as far as Yankees Lineup is concerned, Aaron Judge does not even remember Juan Soto.
After practically a regular season, ‘the judge’ presumes large numbers in the first 24 games of the competition, well above those on the table at the same number of meetings of the previous campaign, in which he had ‘La Fiera’ as coequipero.
In 2024, the Yankees placed the couple of Soto and Judge as second and third in the order, respectively, throughout the campaign. There was never a change in the Bat position every time both were in action. The combination, really, was not decisive for ‘the judge’ that started the campaign with low numbers.
In the first 24 calendar games last year, the numbers were very good for Soto and discreet for Judge, not to say bad. While the Dominican averaged .319 with five home runs and 20 races produced, ‘the judge’ hit below the ‘Mendoza line’ (.180) with just three home runs and 11 races produced. The highlight for Judge was a game of a home run and three produced, on April 14, against Oakland.
This year, things are abysmally different. Not only Judge does not strange Soto but, perhaps, it is much better to lead the Bronx offensive without the Dominican. ‘The judge’ is in the Top 3 of practically all the offensive departments of the young circuit, in the period of 24 games of this 2025, adds seven windows, with 25 produced and thick .411, the productions and the average place it in the leadership of both departments.
And remember, Judge does not use the media Bat torpedo.
Meanwhile, the contrast is for Soto, who moved from Bronx to Queens, to now defend the colors of the Mets, which, although they dawn Friday with the best record of the largest with 18-7 (.720), have not had the offensive contribution of Soto, at least, not with the expected one, after having closed the treatment with the 26-year-old gardener for 15 seasons and 765 million dollars.
Soto, in the first 24 games of 2025 with the METS, has just three homers and a dozen produced with an average .233. It seems that the situation has been invested, Soto looks more like the Judge of 2024 and vice versa.
The Yankees, on the other hand, are on the divisional top and have the best record of the American League, together with Detroit Tigers, as both dawn this April 25 with a 15-10 mark (.600).
From April 2 until before the 23rd of this month, ‘The Judge’ held a string of 20 games that he reached, at least, the first base, which matched the sixth longest streak of his career. Since the aforementioned April 2, he had a ‘Slash Line’ (Average (AVG), Embassed Percentage (OBP) and Slugging (SLG)) of .413/.511/.600, when he left 75-31 with 14 races, three home runs, 14 produced and three robberies.
It has been embasted in 23 of the first 24 games of this year and has looked intractable when it has hit with runners in the position of scoring, as it presumes an average exorbitant of .632, that is, it usually responds just over half of the time when it is necessary to take colleagues to Home, with a total of 19 productions.
In addition, he is a man who early hurts the games. In the first 24 commitments of this role, it left .500, three home runs, a double, seven produced and six scored in the first inning.
Judge is on the way to another season as more valuable, because in addition to leading the batting circuit and produced, he is the commander of the department more times embassying with (55) and Warf among the position players (2.3).
The regular LMB season barely squeeze 15 percent of its total games (24 of 162 games), so there is a long way to go. In the neighborhood in front of the call is to calm. Soto’s rickety offensive contribution contrasts with the unbeatable start of the ‘magnificent mets’, but, say those who know of the issue that in ‘La Fiera’ is not surprising a slow start and that will take its level.
We will see if Soto turns on and offers what fans in Queens expect from him and if the ‘judge’ maintains the overwhelming rhythm of the first bars of this calendar, in which Soto has fouled at all. Apparently, it was good to have the responsibility of being the chief captain of the Bronx.
