Concern at Bayern: Kompany, hospitalized after collapsing

Vincent Kompany40 years old, had to be taken to hospital today after training Bayern. The Belgian coach has collapsed, as reported by ‘Sky Sports’. The cause is still unknown, but a helicopter has even landed in the sports city, although it was an ambulance that took him to the medical center.

The Bavarian coach had already been in the news this week due to health problems before the Champions League match against Arsenal (2-2). He did not give the previous press conference and it was learned that he had hip pain.

The former City player explained that he was coming off a difficult week in which a virus had left him very affected. “As a coach, you always want to do everything and achieve everything. I caught a pretty nasty virus last week, and of course I didn’t listen to my body, and then at some point my body said, ‘Stop now!'” At the moment the club has not yet commented on the health status of its coach.

Bayern medical report

The German team confirmed its coach’s medical problems, but there is still no diagnosis. “Vincent Kompany had to seek medical treatment on Friday after collapsing during FC Bayern Amateure training. The coach of the professional team had been observing the second team’s session. Kompany will undergo extensive examinations in hospital and will remain under medical care. For the time being, his coaching team will manage the training and playing activities.”
