Pogacar already has a date for its expected reappearance
Tadej Pogačar will reappear after his injury in La Vuelta, on November 29, in the sixth edition of Beking 2026 which takes place in Monaco, a solidarity cycling event that combines competition, popular activities and social commitment with children.
The Slovenian has recovered from the injury that occurred on August 29, during the eighth stage of the Vuelta a España, when about 32 kilometers from the finish line the cyclist tripped over a stone that caused him to fall, causing him to fracture his collarbone, for which he underwent successful surgery.
He will do it together with his compatriot the Slovenian cyclist Urska Zigart. Both champions confirmed their participation through a video broadcast on the organization’s social networks, in which they also presented one of the main novelties of this year: the Children’s Ambassadors Program that brings children from the audience to the stage
“This year we launched a new children’s ambassador program that will give our fans the opportunity to be part of the event in a very special way,” said Tadej.
In addition, the champions will take to the track, to run alongside the children and put their visibility at the service of causes that no ranking can measure. This event aims to raise funds and donate them to foundations and charities in Monaco and around the world.
Founded in 2023, the BEKING Association is a non-profit organization born from the BEKING cycling event in the Principality of Monaco. It raises funds to promote sport, education, sustainable mobility and environmental awareness, with attention to families, children, schools and local communities, and supports partner foundations.
