The new logo for the 2027 Australia World Cup was presented

As anticipation grows in Australia and around the world, the 2027 World Cup officially revealed its logo and vibrant visual identity, marking a new and transformative chapter in the history of the sport. Watch all the rugby on Disney+.

Australia 2027, which will take place from October 1 to November 13, 2027, will be the first men’s tournament to feature 24 teams: “This growth reflects rugby’s commitment to broaden its reach, increase relevance and participation in around the world, empowering more nations to compete in men’s rugby’s pinnacle event,” World Rugby said in a statement.

“The logo is inspired by the natural beauty of Australia, with a vibrant orange hue that evokes the warmth of its sun and its distinctive land. The lines are inspired by its coastlines, layered rock formations and the winding rivers of the Great Land of the South, flowing seamlessly with energy and converging around the Rugby World Cup ball at its centre,” they noted of the new logo.

“The design draws inspiration from various artistic styles and textures of First Nations across the country, and symbolizes the land, sea and sky of Australia – three elements of deep spiritual significance in First Nations cultures. Together, the components symbolize Australia’s diverse geography and reflect a united nation as a whole,” they added

The President of World Rugby, Brett Robinsoncommented on the matter: “Australia 2027 represents more than a tournament. It’s a powerful statement about the future of our sport and how we can grow rugby by making it even more inclusive and entertaining.
