Fabián, on the Ballon d’Or: “I am the player who has won the most titles”

Fabián Ruiz Peña30, has vindicated his spectacular season in an interview on Onda Cero, where he did not hesitate to put an incontestable fact on the table: “Obviously I am the player who has won the most titles this season.” The PSG midfielder has been one of the important pieces of a historic season both with his club and with the Spanish team when he has been healthy – he had a serious injury that keeps him from the award. However, the Andalusian did not want to campaign for himself and prefers that the rest be the ones to decide whether he deserves it or not.

“I like it better that people do it. That people do it. Everyone knows the titles I have won this season. But hey, I leave the campaign for others,” he said.

Fabián acknowledged that, like any footballer, he also enjoys when his work receives recognition. “Obviously everyone likes to be recognized for the work we do. It’s something nice,” explained the Andalusian, who has had a particularly successful season.

The PSG player does not give up, however, the possibility of one day winning a great individual prize. “I hope to be able to win an individual title one day,” he admitted. He prefers that others be the ones to weigh in on what he deserves or does not deserve.
