Brennan: “For the team to give everything for me is an incredible opportunity”
The British Matthew Brennan (Visma-Lease a Bike) entered the finish line pointing his fingers at his third victory in this edition, equaling the mark of the retired Tadej Pogacar.
Brennan (Darlington, 21 years old), was grateful to a team that “is full of champions.”
“Once again we took the initiative. Our teammates gave everything, even after yesterday’s hard day. As we approached the finish line we maintained our position well and we knew we were strong enough to be where we wanted. I’m really happy, winning 3 stages is something huge,” he commented.
The author of the triplet in Lorca stated that he is in a team “full of great champions.”
“We have riders who have been on the podium of grand tours, who have even won them, and riders who have won classics and big races. The fact that they give everything for me is an incredible opportunity. I am really grateful that they give everything for me.”
