Milei bets on a Formula 1 GP in Argentina

Milei recalled that the Buenos Aires racetrack hosted Formula One races at three different times in the last century, the last in 1998, and added: “In all that time, Argentines’ passion for racing never went out.we never stop loving this sport. “The only thing that was missing for 28 years was for the world to look at us again as the headquarters of the highest category of motorsport.”

In addition, he pointed out that in Argentina “the market for a similar competition has once again existed.” and emphasized: “We have the tradition, we have the pilots and now we are returning to having the institutional seriousness that these categories demand before choosing a country. We have absolutely everything. It is time to accelerate at full speed in this direction, and I invite you to make this congress the first step towards that return.”

The American Congress of the FIA ​​is held at the headquarters of the Argentine Automobile Club (ACA) in Buenos Aires, and was attended this Monday by the general secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the chancellor, Pablo Quirno; and the president of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

The event brings together the main motorsport and mobility leaders on the continent, as well as numerous FIA executives, who plan to address issues such as the development and safety of competitions, technological innovation, sustainable mobility and strategies to strengthen the international presence of motorsport in the region, among other issues.
