Doncic’s ex-partner withdraws her request to the player for child support
Anamaria Goltes, former partner of Luka Doncic, has withdrawn the request for support of the two daughters she has with the Lakers player, as well as payment of legal fees that she presented in March in the Superior Court of Los Angeles.
Doncic made public in December the separation from his fiancée and that he would fight for custody of his daughters. Gabriela2 years old, and olivia7 months old, living with Anamaria Goltes in Slovenia. The point guard filed a request for an injunction in Slovenia in February seeking immediate contact with his daughters and to address the issues of joint custody and support.
According to ESPN, the custody resolution is still ongoing under the jurisdiction of the Slovenian courts. Goltes said he was withdrawing the support request with the idea of reaching an amicable agreement with the player.
“I am withdrawing my petition for support with the specific intention of resolving this matter amicably and by mutual agreement, resulting in the best interests of our girls,” Doncic’s former partner said in a document obtained by TMZ and also collected by the ESPN.
The star traveled to Slovenia at the beginning of December to see her second daughter born, Gabriela. During this visit, Doncic expressed his desire to take the newborn to the United States, something that Goltes opposed, calling the police.
The police responded to the call but, according to the police report that ESPN cited at the time, “no signs of a crime were detected.” The Lakers player left the hospital peacefully and flew back to the United States.
Doncic announced that he would not play for the Slovenian national team this summer in order to spend more time with his daughters.
“I love my daughters more than anything and they will always be the first thing in my life. While I continue working for shared custody of my daughters, I have forced myself to make a difficult decision between traveling and playing for Slovenia and being with my daughters this summer,” said the ’77’, who in order to extend his stay in his country and also create chemistry in a Lakers team with many new faces, has organized a four-day training session in Ljubljana at the end of this month.
