Spain qualifies for the finals of the World Series

The Spanish women’s rugby 7 team certified its qualification for the finals of the world elite of the HSBC SVNS World Championship Serieswhich will be disputed in Hong Kong, Valladolid and Bordeaux.

After his recent second place in the tournament of Montevideo (Uruguay)belonging to the second stage of the regular phase of the second category of the World Seriesthe team trained by Maria Ribera confirmed its mathematical classification this Monday, as reported by the Royal Spanish Rugby Federation.

This second place in Uruguay, where the Spanish team added a total of 34 points in the general classification, along with South Africa, and only behind Argentina (40).

The ‘Leonas’, who only lost to the ‘Albiceleste’ and Brazil, thus secured a place among the four best teams on the SVNS 2 circuit.

Now, María Ribera’s team will participate in the great final battle for promotion and permanence in the World Series, where they will face the best nations on the planet in Hong Kong (April 17 to 19), Valladolid (May 29 to 31) and Bordeaux (June 5 to 7).
