“Re-cycling The World”, a European bicycle journey for sustainability and health

The adventurer and popularizer Albert Bosch and the organic supermarket chain Veritas present “Re-cycling the World”, a bicycle expedition that will connect Galway (Ireland) with Istanbul (Türkiye). The project, which It will start next August 20was born under a shared premise: the bicycle is the means, adventure is the objective; while good leadership and sustainability are the purpose. The expedition also has the technical support of Benros, a brand of premium handmade bicycles, which has designed an exclusive one following a philosophy of zero overstock and maximum durability. Albert Bosch is expected to arrive in Istanbul on October 5in a journey that will be documented in detail through the Instagram account @recyclingtheworld.

This journey of nearly 6,000 kilometers that will cross Europe from end to end, from the Atlantic to the Bosphorus, represents the first stage of an ambitious global project to cross the five continents. For Albert Bosch, a reference in extreme challenges such as the crossing of Antarctica or the electric Dakar, this trip is a platform to rethink, reconnect and react to the climate emergency. Veritas joins this mission as a strategic ally, providing the vision of conscious eating as a driver of change. “Albert personifies the management of change that we need as a society. He not only pedals to unite two geographical points, but to connect consciousnesses; his journey is the reflection of the transition we need: slower, more conscious and deeply respectful of the resources that keep us alive,” he says. Conscious nutrition and transparency in its origin

As part of the minimalist equipment of the expedition, Albert will have nutritional support from Veritas, based on high quality products and clean energy. One of the key moments of the route will be its stage in Freiburg (Germany) to visit Taifun-Tofu, a strategic partner of Veritas. This meeting will serve to document the excellence of European organic vegetable protein, a key food for both the high performance of the adventurer and the healthy diet of consumers.

Commitment to the territory: protection of mature forests

The project has an active solidarity aspect under the umbrella of Rewilding Europe. Throughout the route, a campaign will be activated to sponsor kilometers (€10/kilometer) with the objective of protecting mature and ancient forests through the SELVANS Foundation. These ecosystems, between 75 and 100 years old, represent the environments of greatest terrestrial biological value and are the final objective of this pedal for the future of the planet.
