Jonathan Kasibabu, Breogán’s third signing
The Congolese center Jonathan Kasibabu This Saturday he became the third signing of the Breogán Riverwith whom he already played in the Endesa League in the 2021-22 season.
“Kasibabu, who has the status of formation player (quota), stands out for being a very physical interior, with great defensive and rebounding ability. In addition, his mobility allows him to adapt to the needs of the team in the two interior positions”highlights Breogán in his statement.
The African player, 30 years old and 2.04 meters tall, trained in the youth ranks of the Canterbury canary and Real Madrid, before beginning his journey in the United States, where he competed in the NCAA and in the G-League with the Long Island Nets and the Austin Spurs.
Upon his return to Europe, he played in the Nantes French before arriving at the Breogán River in the 2021-22 season. In his first stage in Lugo, the center remained until December and played five games in the Endesa League, in addition to the Champions League qualifying match.
After leaving the celestial team, Kasibabu has played in First FEB, former LEB Oro, with Palencia, Burgos, Betis and Fuenlabrada. In this last team he averaged 8.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season.
Kasibabu is the third addition to the team led by Luis Casimiro after the American guard-forward Tevin Brown and the Montenegrin center Aleksa Ilic.
