Portugal suspends training due to storm warning

A storm warning forced the Portuguese team to suspend training this Thursday in Florida, the first in preparation for the match against Colombia, when I was barely 30 minutes into the session.

In that half hour all the players were available to carry out the usual warm-up and ball exercises that precede other more tactical ones focused on the next game.

However, the squad had to leave the field of play and take cover after the security protocol was activated due to a storm warning in Palm Beach Gardens, the town where the Portuguese team has its training center, according to a spokesperson for the federation.

The second time

It is not the first time that the team has seen its preparation affected during this World Cup. On June 14, he had to suspend his training minutes before the start due to a powerful storm that forced the facilities to be evacuated.

The expedition enjoyed a day of rest yesterday after the 5-0 victory against Uzbekistan and this Thursday he began to prepare for Saturday’s game against Colombia in Miami, in which the leadership of group K will be at stake.

Portugal arrives with 4 points and will need a victory at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to surpass Colombia in the table, which has won both of its games.
