Rodallega’s mark in Brazil that helped him enter the top 5 of Colombian scorers
Hugo Rodallega returns to Brazil to visit with Santa Fe to Corinthians for Conmebol Libertadores. In that country, he scored 19 goals with Bahia.
The cardinal captain tied the last capital classic in El Campín with a header. He completed 292 goals in his career and entered the top 5 of all-time Colombian scorers. He scored 19 of those in his three seasons with Bahia in Brazilian soccer.
The Libertadores brings him back to that country. He will visit the leader Corinthians for the second date of Group E. From there he went to Bogotá red, where he is an idol for his unconditional dedication.
He arrived in Bahía in 2021. He scored six goals in the first division. Four to Fortaleza, one to Bragantino and another to Goianiense. In the following campaign he played in promotion and scored against Brusque. His greatest amount was in the state tournaments: four for Baiano and eight in the Copa do Nordeste. He left in 2022 with 60 games played.
“Good luck, gunner!” The club greeted him at his farewell.
It is approaching 300
With Santa Fe he scored 65 goals. The one he achieved against Millonarios left him among the five historical ones in Colombia. The record leads Dayro Moreno with 385, followed by Falcao with 356. Third is Carlos Bacca, owner of 346, the same as Víctor Hugo Aristizábal, the only one without activity.
In the continental tournament he made one in the previous edition against Deportes Iquique in Chile. In their third game they went blank against Peñarol.
“The three points at home were important, we leave sad, but the effort was good. At my age I enjoy it, it is the most important tournament on the continent. I am going to try to help the team and be able to advance to the next phase,” he told AM850.
