Rybakina confessed that she does not allow the ranking to dominate her thoughts. For her, the position in the ranking is a consequence of the work and not an end. “I just know I need to do well, and at this point I need to make it to the end of the tournament no matter what I play or who I play against. It’s about improvement and consistency. If it happens, great.”.

Regarding the German tournament, he confessed what his preparation was like: “I had a couple of days of rest and, honestly, the jetlag was too hard after Miami, so I I spent most of the time sleeping. After we started with the preparation, I needed to do some physical work, because Indian Wells and Miami were very long tournaments and in the last match I felt that my physical level dropped a little, I felt like I needed to work on it. “A couple of days of rest… and from there, total preparation.”
And the conditions? They favor her: “I think it’s easier to play indoors. There are no external conditions, there is no sun, there is no wind. If I’m honest with you, I have been practicing this time indoors on most occasions, in Bratislava. It’s great to start this tour here. Even if it’s not played outdoors, even if it’s maybe not real clay, you’re still sliding on the surface. “Overall, for the beginning, it’s a nice beginning.”
