Franco Colapinto spun at Silverstone with Alpine

The Argentine completed the 200 kilometers enabled for filming days with the A526. In the next few days he will travel to Argentina for the road show on the 26th in Buenos Aires.

In a glamorous Alpine A390, a 100% electric fastback crossover sport that costs 67,500 euros at the entry level, Franco Colapinto arrived at the Silvesrtone circuit this early Wednesday.. A test on the A526 Formula 1 awaited him. The Enstone team decided to use the wild card of the second (and last) day of filming that all teams have to record promotional images and, of course, carry out work on the cars.

Gray skies and some rain greeted the French team, whose base is 41 kilometers from the legendary British track that was the venue for the first F1 GP in history in 1950. There, Alpine completed the 200 kilometers that the regulations allow during one of the filming days.which means 34 laps on the British track.

Alpine had already carried out the first of the two days of filming enabled by the regulations on January 21, also at Silverstone, with Pierre Gasly. The Argentine completed the quota this Wednesday. It is worth clarifying that for filming days special tires designed by Pirelli for exhibitions are used (competition compounds are not used) and the engine has a control unit that is monitored by the International Automobile Federation.

Colapinto will continue with tasks at the team’s base in Enstone before traveling in the coming days to Argentina for the road show that will be held on the streets of Buenos Aires with a 2012 Lotus E20. According to estimates, half a million people are expected at the event.
