After a very close women’s final between SCHC and HC’s-Hertogenbosch, the EHL 2026 closed with the men’s final not suitable for cardiac patients between Gantoise HCby Maico Casella, and the SV Kampong. In a match that was experienced on the screen of the Disney+ Premium Plan, The Dutch team beat the Belgian team 3 to 2who sought to defend the title obtained in 2025.

Unlike the women’s match, which only opened the scoring in the fourth and final quarter, in the men’s match Kampong hit the start with a shot from Duco Telgenkamp (4´)who took a setback that was impossible to stop for the partial 1-0. A result that would not take long to increase because Finn Van Bijnen (9´)through the same route with a backhand shot, stretched the score to 2-0.

After a flatter second quarter, the third started with everything after a drag of Jip Janssen (34′) which, due to a deviation in the line, entered slowly for 3-0 and a surprising result over the current champion. When the match seemed decided, a yellow card for SV Kampong in the fourth and final quarter made Gantoise HC worsewho took advantage of the extra player and, in a flurry, went from 0-3 to 2-3 in just three minutes: first with a drag of Alexander Hendrickx (53′) and then with a rebound taken advantage of Mathis Lauwers (56′).

Despite Gantoise’s insistence and the incredible goal situation he had with 30 seconds remaining on a volley from Guillaume Hellin, SV Kampong finally beat the Belgian team 3 to 2 and won the Euro Hockey League 2026.
