Nations Cup 2026: venues are already confirmed
The FIH announced that the venues for the 2026 Nations Cup will be New Zealand and South Africa. The fourth edition of the tournament that grants the champion a place for the 2026/27 Pro League season will be in mid-June in the oceanic and African country.
South Africa will host again after four years, being the first hosts of the tournament, while New Zealand will make its debut as host.
In the women’s branch, it will be played in Auckland from June 15 to 21, and the countries that will compete are: New Zealand, United States, Japan, South Korea, Chile, Scotland, France -who qualified from the Nations Cup 2-, and India who were relegated from the 2024/25 Pro League. On the men’s side, it will be in Cape Town from June 11 to 20. South Africa, New Zealand, France, Japan, Wales, Malaysia, Scotland and Ireland. The Scots qualified after winning Nations Cup 2, while the Irish were relegated from the 2024/25 Pro League.
The latest champions are: in men South Africa (2022), New Zealand (2023/24 and 2024/25); in ladies Spain (2022), India (2023/24) and New Zealand (2024/25).
