World Cup 2026: What are the venues?
With the countdown and the World Cup in sightwe review a little the history of the two stadiums where the most important international tournament of the year will take place. From August 15 to 30 in Amstelveen, Netherlands and Wavre, Belgium, 16 women’s teams and 16 men’s teams will seek to be crowned the best in the world.
Wagener Stadium
Located in Amstelveen, Netherlands – south of Amsterdam – it was Founded in 1938 and since 1980 the stadium has been owned by the AH&BC and the national teams. It was named after Joop Wagener, president of the club and has a capacity of 7,900 people. The countries that play the group stage here are in ladies: Netherlands, Australia, Chile, Japan, China, England, India and South Africa; in gentlemen: Netherlands, Argentina, New Zealand, Japan, England, India, Pakistan and Wales.
The stadium has three uncovered sectors, and one covered, and prices vary between 26 and 80 euros, depending on the day, ages and the place chosen.

Belfius Hockey Arena
It was originally the Justin Peeters Soccer Stadium that was remodeled for this World Cup. Its inauguration will be on April 1 in Wavre with a match between the national and Dutch teams. It will have a capacity of approximately 10,000 people and It has one sector covered and another not. Likewise, the covered sector has five subsections, and the uncovered sector has eight, two especially for children from 3 to 14 years old. Prices vary between 19 and 80 euros.
The teams that will play here in the group stage are, in women: Argentina, Germany, United States, Scotland, Belgium, Spain, New Zealand and Ireland; in gentlemen: Belgium, Germany, France, Malaysia, Australia, Spain, Ireland and South Africa.
