The president of the Colombian Football Federation, Ramón Jesurún, indicated that there will be a friendly match Colombia with a rival to be defined on May 29 at the El Campín stadium, as a farewell to the 2026 World Cup.

The last presentation of the national team before its public will be in the capital. This was reported by the senior leader who revealed that there is an agreement with the city’s Mayor’s Office so that the fans can enjoy that commitment.

“What is established is that it will be in Bogotá, on May 29. We will announce the rival in the next few hours. This has practically been agreed with the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá and the businessmen of the El Campín stadium and it will not undergo any modification. It is practically a fact that on June 7 in the United States we will play the preparatory match before the start of the World Cup,” he highlighted.

The headquarters of the National Team in Mexico where it will play its first two matches against Uzbekistan and another rival that will emerge from the playoffs will be Guadalajara. The preparation prior to that trip will be done in Medellín.

“The plan will be very similar to what we did in the Copa América, the first arrival cycle will be in Medellín, a kind of training, but very free, then we will move to Bogotá, for the match on May 29 and possibly after that match we will return to Medellín and from there we will leave for the United States”he added.

Colombia will face two European teams on the next FIFA date in March in the United States. First against Croatia on the 27th and then against France on the 29th.
