FIFA presented the official poster of the 2026 World Cup

This Tuesday, FIFA presented the official poster of the World Cup 2026 On the occasion of the 100 days remaining until the start of the tournament, a ‘collage’ type design with identifying elements of the three host countries, Canada, United States and Mexicowhich reserves its central part for the silhouette of a footballer.

“The official poster of the 2026 FIFA World Cup reflects the energy, diversity and shared passion for football that will define the most inclusive edition in the competition’s history,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement.

With red (Canada), blue (USA) and green (Mexico) tones, the work was born from the collaboration of artists from the three States: the Canadian Carson Ting, the Mexican Minerva GM and the American Hank Willis Thomas.

The poster contains cultural references from the three countries. In the case of Mexico, it shows an eagle – an animal that appears on the country’s national coat of arms -, marigold flowers, a trumpet, a maraca and a mariachi hat.

On the Canadian side, the maple leaf or iconic animals such as a moose, a Canadian goose or a blue jay are represented.

While in the case of the United States, blue, red and white stars and bars appear, in reference to its flag.

The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19. The final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
