Mets believes that Juan Soto has the category for the star game and is confident that he is still part of the roster

Baltimore-The New York Mets consider Juan Soto for a real All-Star, despite the desaite he received from those who selected the National League roster for the mid-season classic on July 15.

Soto, in his first season with the METS, has had a good enough performance to earn the respect of his manager and colleagues. In the opinion of all of them, it deserves a place in the star game, next week, in Atlanta.

“Understand how they face what the pitchers,” he said Carlos Mendoza. “There is his knowledge of the game, he will see the pitchers. There are times when he is aggressive.”

Soto has been selected for the star game as a player of the Washington Nationals, San Diego Parents and New York Yankees every year since 2021. The streak seems to have finished. But his companions say they think he deserves to go.

“What has done all year is simply incredible, and the results are enough,” said the starter of the Mets, Clay Holmes. “The consistency with which it has been presented and the shifts to the BAT that it has had are more than a game of stars. It is one of the best in baseball and an important part of our alignment.”

Soto seems quite philosophical about the desaul.

“Sometimes you succeed and not,” he told the press after Sunday’s defeat against the Yankees. “It’s part of baseball.”
