33-51: Splendid debut for Spain in the European Championship
The Spanish rugby team began its journey in the European Championship with a victory with an offensive bonus away from home against Netherlands.
The Argentine national team Pablo Bouza beat the Netherlands 33-51 at the National Rugby Center in amsterdamadding the 5 possible points thanks to the offensive bonus in a match that was a true festival of attacks from both teams.
The match was marked by the number of tries by both teams, 13 in total.
“For Los Leones, the 51 points represent the third best historical scoring record against the Dutch. However, the data also underlines the danger of the locals, who posted their best scoring numbers (33) in a match against the Spanish,” according to the Spanish Federation.
In the first half, Spain dominated and hit practically after the opening whistle.
In the second part the same script was maintained. However, the Netherlands, despite playing at a disadvantage due to a yellow card, encouraged by their fans, remained in the match until the end.
