Gator Men Start Play In SEC Tournament Today: With a possible NCAA Tournament bid on the line, the University of Florida men's basketball team opens play tonight in the SEC Tournament in Nashville with a game against Auburn. Rock 104 and AM 850 will have the game for you live at 6:55pm. Florida is 20-11 on the year and finished 9-7 in the SEC but closed the season with three straight losses. Gator Baseball Tops Northern Illinois: The University of Florida baseball team used outstanding pitching and a grand slam home run from freshman Austin Maddox to defeat Northern Illinois 8-0 Wednesday night at McKethan Stadium. Gator starter Anthony DeSclafani who was bombed in his last start, was very impressive in this one, allowing only one hit and no runs as he pitched into the sixth inning. Relievers Steven Rodriguez, Michael Heller and Justin Poovey combined to allow only one more hit the rest of the way. more...
