NFL Combine Comes To An End

The NFL Combine is history now and it remains to be seen which players may have helped or hurt their draft day status after their workouts.

For the 10 Gators who were there, a consensus is that guys like quarterback Tim Tebow and offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey may have helped themselves and defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap and cornerback Joe Haden might have hurt their causes.

Tebow did not throw but was impressive in his 40 time and in his other workouts. Pouncey according to many had a very impressive workout and he could have moved himself into a late first round/early second round draft scenario in April.

Several scouts said Dunlap looked slow and stiff during his workouts and some, like ESPN's Todd McShay, feel he could slip into the late first round or early second round. Haden had a rather slow 40 time and some believe that time might cost him a few slots in the first round.

Of course, the Gator players will have at least one more day to impress coaches and scouts at Pro Day in Gainesville on March 17th.
