Lots Of Gator Activity This Weekend

There will be plenty of activity this weekend in Gator sports.

Starting today, the Gator baseball team (9-2) will host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (5-8) in a three game series. The games will be either on AM 850 or Rock 104; if Gator basketball is still playing in the SEC Tournament, baseball will be on AM 850 but if no hoops the games will be on Rock 104.

Lefty Alex Panteliodis (3-0) gets the start for Florida tonight against righthander Anthony Markham (0-1, 9.26 earned run average).

The Gator softball team opens SEC play with a three game home series against Ole Miss. The Gators (16-2) sport a hefty .347 team batting average as they take on the Lady Rebels in a doubleheader Saturday and a single game on Sunday,

The Gator track teams try for a national championship as they compete in the NCAA Indoor Track Championship being hosted by Arkansas. Florida's women come off an SEC Indoor title and the Gator men finished second and both teams are ranked nationally in the top four.

Men's tennis will host Auburn at 3 on Friday and Alabama Sunday at 1 as the nationally ranked Gators are 10-2 and 2-0 in SEC play.
