The University of Florida women's basketball team received an automatic bid to the WNIT and will host South Florida Thursday night at a time to be determined Tuesday.
The Gators get an automatic bid despite a losing record (14-16) because they were the next highest seeded team in the SEC that did not make the NCAA Tournament. South Florida is 15-15 on the year.
South Florida however is the defending WNIT champion after beating Kansas last year in the finals.
