The University of Florida men's basketball team travels Sunday to Lexington to play Kentucky in the final regular season game for both teams. Rock 104 has live coverage at 11:25am and AM 850 will join at noon.
Kentucky (28-2, 13-2 SEC) can win the SEC title outright with a win against Florida while the Gators (20-10, 9-6 SEC) could get into the NCAA Tournament with a signature road win over the Cats.
But that won't be easy. It will be Senior Day for Kentucky and the freshmen, guard John Wall and center DeMarcus Cousins, are a load to handle. The Gators played the Wildcats tough in Gainesville before losing 89-77 as the "other" Kentucky guard, Eric Bledsoe, burned the Gators with a 25 point night.
Guard Erving Walker had 20 points in that game and forward Alex Tyus added 17 but both have been struggling offensively as of late. Tyus has not scored in double figures in his last four games and Walker is coming off of a miserable shooting day in Florida's home loss to Vanderbilt.
Most experts believe the Gators need to win one or two more games to make the NCAA Tournament and if they can't be the Wildcats that would have to happen at the SEC Tournament that starts Thursday in Nashville.
