Fresh off taking a series from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, the nationally ranked Gator baseball team begins a five game homestand this week by hosting Illinois State tonight and tomorrow night.

Florida (7-2) will send freshman Hudson Randall to the mound tonight and Illinois State (4-5) from the Missouri Valley Conference will throw righthander Brad Sorkin (0-0) to the mound for first year head coach Mark Kingston.

Illinois State will face Florida tomorrow and the Gators will then host Charleston Southern in a three game weekend series.

Florida is hitting a robust .321 as a team led by senior Matt den Dekker (.409) and shortstop Nolan Fontana (.400).
