As the Gator football team prepares for its game at South Carolina on Saturday, head coach Urban Meyer is hoping some players with minor injuries can recover enough to play at or near full strength.
Meyer said ankle injuries, minor ones, have hit players like offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey, defensive linemen Jermaine Cunningham and Carlos Dunlap and receiver Brandon James. Meyer expects all of them to be fine for the game on Saturday.
Despite South Carolina's recent troubles, Meyer said the Gators are not taking the Gamecocks lightly at all. He has said Carolina has one of the "best atmospheres in college football" and he noted his team has to be ready to play well.
