Gators Stay Perfect With Win Over FSU

The University of Florida football team completed a perfect regular season after beating Florida State 37-10 Saturday night in Gainesville.

Florida thoroughly dominated the game, especially in the first half when the defense held FSU to a total of only 55 yards on offense. Meanwhile the Gator offense on this Senior Day was led by senior quarterback Tim Tebow who completed 17 of 21 passes for 221 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for two more scores as well.

The Gator offense also rolled up 545 total yards on an FSU defense that came into the game statistically as one of the worst in the nation. On the ground, Jeff Demps led the way for Florida with 106 yards rushing on just seven carries.

Defensively when the game counted, the Gator starters got into the face of freshman quarterback E.J. Manuel, sacking him three times and hurrying many other throws.

Florida now will play Alabama in the highly anticipated SEC Championship Game next weekend in Atlanta.
