Even though some injured Gator football players didn't participate a lot in Tuesday's practice, Gator coach Urban Meyer is hopeful some or all of them can play this Saturday against Vanderbilt.

Running backs Chris Rainey (shoulder) and Mike Gillislee (hamstring) did a little work but both could play Saturday. Defensive back Wondy Pierre-Louis (hamstring) could also be back playing this weekend.

Meyer said wide receiver Deonte Thompson has some sort of rib injury and he did not participate in any contact work and there was no indication made as to his status for the weekend.
