The 7-6, 6-2 win gives Serena her third Wimbledon title and 11th Grand Slam title overall. The Williams sisters have now won eight of the ten women's Wimbledon singles titles contested this decade.

Venus was trying for her third straight Wimbledon title and her sixth overall but sister Serena would not let that happen as she now leads Venus 11-10 in matches played against each other.
