Rays And Marlins Win Big; Braves Lose

The Tampa Bay Rays took two of three games from the Philadelphia Phillies in their rematch of the 2008 World Series after winning 10-4 Thursday. Willy Aybar had three hits and three runs to lead the Rays to the win.

The Florida Marlins also won big, beating slumping Baltimore 11-3 as Hanley Ramirez homered, had three hits and drove in five runs. Meanwhile the New York Yankees beat Atlanta 11-7 as Johnny Damon and Alex Rodriguez each drove in four runs.

In other interleague action, Washington roughs up John Smoltz, making his first start for Boston as the Nats win 9-3. Texas nips Arizona 9-8 and Pittsburgh edges Cleveland 3-2. Houston tops Kansas City 5-4 and Minnesota downs Milwaukee 6-4.

Detroit wins its seventh in a row by beating the Cubs 6-5 and the White Sox cool off the Dodgers 6-5. Seattle tops San Diego 9-3; Toronto loses to Cincinnati 7-5. In a National League game, New York beats St.Louis 3-2.
