Despite gaining 729 yards (including special teams) the New Orleans Saints lost to the Minnesota Vikings 30-27 on Monday Night Football.
Reggie Bush had two punt returns for touchdowns for the Saints but New Orleans also had some costly turnovers that kept the Vikings in the game. Minnesota tied it in the fourth quarter on a Gus Frerotte touchdown pass to wide receiver Bernard Berrian and Ryan Longwell hit a 30 yard field goal with 13 seconds left to give Minnesota the win.
The Viking and the Saints are now 2-3 on the year.
