The National League Championship Series is now set after the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2 on Sunday to win the Divisional Series playoff 3-1.
The Phillies will now play the Los Angeles Dodgers, who swept the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS playoffs. The Phillies homered four times, two by Pat Burrell, in beating the Brewers.
In the ALDS, Tampa Bay now leads Chicago 2-1 after the White Sox beat the Rays 5-3 on Sunday in Chicago. Game 4 is today in Chicago with Gavin Floyd on the mound for Chicago and Andy Sonnanstine for Tampa Bay.
Meanwhile a bloop single by Erick Aybar helped the Los Angeles Angels beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 in 12 innings to force a Game 4 in that ALDS series. Boston still leads the series 2-1. Jon Lester pitches for Boston in Game 4 tonight against John Lackey.
