With the season opener against Hawaii now just three days away, the playing status of starting wide receiver Percy Harvin and middle linebacker Brandon Spikes is still up in the air.
Gator head coach Urban Meyer said Harvin did practice some on Tuesday but that Spikes was still held out with no specific timetable for a return.
Meyer said quarterback John Brantley and wide receiver Carl Moore were battling staph infections but he did not believe the two would be out for any length of time. Both apparently did not practice on Tuesday.
On a positive note, freshman defensive tackle Matt Patchan did practice full speed on Tuesday and he could be part of the rotation at defensive tackle.
AM 850 will have live coverage of the game Saturday starting with the First And Ten pregame show at 9:30am.
