In a multi-million dollar deal Sun Sports has agreed to pay the University of Florida $82-million dollars to give the cable network considerible rights to television, internet, and radio for the Gators. The 10 year deal is one of the most lucrative deals in the nation.
The deal will take effect starting in 2009 and will outsource the University's Atheltic Association's marketing to Sun Sports. Right now the UAA handles all of its own marketing.
The deal though won't change anything you hear on AM850, as the Southeastern Conference holds precedence over Sun Sports.
