The Miami Dolphins finally do what they have been rumored to have been pondering for several weeks now; they traded defensive end Jason Taylor, to the Washington Redskins for a second round draft choice in 2009 and a number six in 2010.
The 33 year old Taylor has played 11 seasons in the NFL, all with Miami, but he apparently fell into disfavor with new Dolphins executive Bill Parcells when he opted to perform on the television series "Dancing With The Stars" rather than report to camp to work out with the team.
In the case of Washington, the Redskins were becoming desperate at the defensive end position because of injuries, the most recent to starter Phillip Daniels who was lost for the season with a knee injury on the first day of summer camp.
Taylor is still an every down player even at 33; he had 11 sacks last year and he has 117 sacks in his career.
