Former Gator soccer standout Abby Wombach will not be playing for the Olympic team in Beijing. Wombach broke her leg in a one to nothing win against Brazil in a seemingly meaningless game Tuesday night. Wambach was team USAs leading scorer before the injury and her presence will be greatly missed. With the Olympics only 3 weeks away, Wambach is expected to miss 12 weeks with the broken left leg. The U.S. begins their defense of the Gold medal on Aug. 6 against Norway.
