The fourth ranked University of Florida women's golf team is in second place after the first day of the NCAA East Regional being played in Athens, Georgia.

Duke has the first day lead at three under par and Florida is at two over par. Leading the way individually for Florida are Tiffany Chudy and Ornella Jouven who are even par for the tournament.

The top eight qualifiers in this regional will advance to the NCAA Championship. Round two is scheduled for Friday.
