The University of Florida baseball team begins play in the SEC Baseball Tournament today when it plays Vanderbilt at the Hoover Met Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.

AM 850 will have live coverage of the game starting at 2pm.

Florida has to beat a Vanderbilt team it just swept in Gainesville last weekend. The Gators (34-20, 17-13 SEC) are the number three seed in the tournament and Vanderbilt (37-18, 15-14 SEC) is the sixth seed.

Patrick Keating (8-0) gets the start on the mound for Florida and he'll be opposed by Mike Minor (5-3).

The Gators are hoping to play well in the tournament to give themselves a good shot at hosting an NCAA Regional; the host sites are to be announced Sunday night and the entire field will be announced on Monday.
