The coaching carousel continues in the National Football League.
It looks more and more like the Baltimore Ravens are set to hire Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett as their new head coach. Garrett spent a lot of time Tuesday in Baltimore interviewing for the job but also then left to interview for the job opening in Atlanta. Garrett has not yet been offered the job.
The Washington Redskins have interviewed defensive coordinator Gregg Williams a second time to see if he will be the man to replace Joe Gibbs who resigned after this past season. The Redskins are set to interview Seattle defensive backs coach Jim Mora today.
And it looks like the Miami Dolphins are going to hire Dallas assistant head coach Tony Sparano as their new head coach. Sparano has a history of working with new Miami boss Bill Parcells when both were with the Cowboys.
The Tennessee Titans have fired offensive coordinator Norm Chow after the team struggled offensively this season. The team however did make the playoffs before losing in the first round.
The Cincinnati Bengals hired Mike Zimmer to be their new defensive coordinator.
Finally, Cal wide receiver DeSean Jackson will forego his senior year and enter the NFL Draft but Tennessee running back Arian Foster, the leading rusher last year for the Vols, will return to school for his senior season. LSU will also get back junior defensive linemen Darry Beckwith and Tyson Jackson who will stay in school for their senior seasons, and there is also a chance defensive lineman Kirston Pittman could return as he seeks a sixth year of eligibility with a medical hardship petition.
