Former University of Florida star Chris Richard has been sent to the NBA's Developmental League by his team, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Richard, part of two national championships at Florida, is a rookie this year who has seen limited playing time with the T'Wolves, averaging about a point and a couple of rebounds in limited playing time.

The T'Wolves say this move will allow Richard to play every night and gain experience; he has been assigned to Sioux Falls.

Another former Gator and now NBA rookie, guard Taurean Green, has also been up and down with his team, the Portland Trail Blazers. Green has seen limited time with the team and has been sent down in the past to the Developmental League to gain playing time and experience.
