Jeff Gordon won his third Daytona 500 race on Sunday in a race that went right down to the wire.
A caution flag with just three laps to go made the finish interesting. Gordon held off Kurt Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. with the caution lifted to win. In all, a record 11 caution flags went up in the race.
Tony Stewart led for 107 laps of the race but faded late and finished seventh. Pole sitter Dale Jarrett was never a factor and finished 15th.
